I fell in love 23 times today. There was the woman beside me in line for breakfast. The lady with two kids waiting for the elevator. The overly voluptuous, friendly woman that sat next to me at dinner the night before. The too-beautiful blonde sitting in that last booth on the left eating a salad. The young girl waitress behind the counter at that lunch place, and her co-workers.

And then there was that random folky singer at the coffeehouse tonight that turned out to be anything but random. Redhair and blue eyes. damn. now i know there's something wrong with me. Don't even get me started on the night before. Way tooooo much love in the room.

So i find love at first sight to be my latest affliction. A mental disorder that impairs my judgement, causes momentary lapses of reason. women that i'm pretty sure i would be completely incompatible with, but it really doesn't matter. logic goes out the window.

this of course calls into question all existing stories of love at first sight... it was probably just two desperate people looking for anyone, and finding each other. maybe i'm just a cynic.

spring is just not a good time of year to be without.
